Silk proteins

Find in the product: Crème précieuse

The silk is obtained from the cocoons made by silkworm larvae that mostly eat mulberry leaves. The silk contains approximately 70% to 75% fibroin, an elastic, fibrous protein, and 25% to 30% sericin, an amorphous, viscous protein that works like cement. Silk is particularly famous for its superior strength. A common active ingredient in cosmetics, hydrolyzed silk proteins deliver essential elements to the hair fiber.
